Simple Parmesan Pasta Recipe
This is a really easy and cheap recipe to produce and is a hit with anyone who loves warm pasta with creamy Parmesan
Serves 20: Scale up as needed
Total Time ~1 hour Idle time ~20 minutes
Ingredients
2 boxes of any pasta (should be about 8 cups dry)
1 tbsp salt
2 cups Parmesan cheese
fresh ground black pepper to taste
5 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tbsp neutral (canola, peanut) or olive oil.
Vegetables (broccoli, spinach, carrots, any versatile green or root vegetable)
Directions
Salt a large pot of water with the 1 tbsp salt and boil the pasta until slightly al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, and strain.
Sauté the vegetables in a medium saucepan with the oil until done (just wilted for leafy greens, cooked through for root vegetables)
Combine the black pepper, Parmesan, pasta, pasta water, red pepper, and cooked vegetables.
Mix until everything is thoroughly combined and place in a 350f 177c oven until the cheese has melted.
Remove from the oven, mix again, and place in the oven turned off until you are ready to go.
